The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines said on Thursday that it was opening two new routes from Viet Nam to China’s Shenzhen to meet rising air travel demand.
Vietnam Airlines will open new routes connecting HCM City and Ha Noi with Shenzhen City from November 27, marking its 15th and 16th routes between Viet Nam and China.
Van Don International Airport in the northern province of Quang Ninh received its first international flight from China on Monday, welcoming 140 passengers from Shenzhen.
The Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the HCM City branch of the Bank of China organised the China-Viet Nam capital co-operation forum on Tuesday to strengthen the financial links between the two countries.
Shares ended Monday evenly mixed in Viet Nam and
China and lower in Japan and Singapore. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index rose
0.27 points to 64.89, but the VN Index lost 1.36 points to 517.03 in HCM
City.
